Laurie Sykes spent close to three decades in New York media, in executive roles behind David Letterman, Bill Maher, and HBO — work that required precision, discretion, and an instinct for what a room needed. That instinct became the basis of how she dresses people now. She doesn’t follow a formula with her work. She explores a person, then builds outward from there.

Her other work has followed the same logic — philanthropic leadership, event and fundraising direction, board positions across several New York institutions. Now dividing her time between New York City and the Hamptons, she works with clients individually, helping them arrive at something closer to their own presentation. The result rarely looks styled; it looks like the person, only more resolved.
